Once you've taken a Romance to its conclusion, Romantic actions with any other characters will automatically be ceased. There is one BIG difference in Mass Effect 3 compared to the first two games however: there is no longer a 'polygamous' confrontation check if you've been trying more than one serious Romance. Continue these actions over the course of the game, and eventually you'll have the Romance 'Locked In'. The general advice is still the same though: pick nice, Paragon options in order to please them and have Shepard be compatible with them. Unlike Mass Effect 1 and 2, Romances in Mass Effect 3 are less synchronous: a Romance with one character may start early into the game while another can only begin more than halfway in. He is a 'joke' Romance, having only one small scene that is initiated under a very specific circumstance.

Javik is only available to Female Shepards, and requires both the From Ashes and Citadel DLCs to be installed.

James Vega is only available to Female Shepards, however a Romance with him can only truly be initiated in the Citadel DLC.

Diana is the only Fling who doesn't disrupt any other Romances, with the slight exception of Liara.

Diana Allers is available to Male and Female Shepards, and can be Romanced after her interviews when you complete major storylines.

They are Diana Allers, James Vega and Javik: These relationships aren't as serious or long-term as the main five, and thus will not grant the Paramour Achievement.
